"'Famous' is the video where I embrace the rapper side of Y-Love; where I show that, inside of all the messages,
I’m still an MC with the same dream we all have.” – Y- Love

Y-Love, an engaging musician known as the world's first Jewish African-American, homosexual hip-hop artist, has released his new video “Famous” featuring BRODY and Milli810 today, exclusively on Artist Direct.com!  Check out the video, which was directed by Scott Patrick Vest.

Undeniably one of the decade's most dynamic artists, Y-Love (Yitz Jordan) has made a name for himself as a hip-hop artist, multicultural educator, fashionista, technology guru, advertising whiz, activist for social change, and political pundit!  Y-Love, who publicly announced that he was gay in 2012, states, "'Famous' is the video where I embrace the rapper side of Y-Love; where I show that, inside of all the messages, I’m still an MC with the same dream we all have. An MC who wants to be famous and still have fun and party.  Every kid in the hood with a microphone is singing this song every time they press record in their basements. This was also my first "mainstream hip-pop" video since coming out, and after “Focus on the Flair,” I figured the fans wanted to, well, focus on something else.  But when Brody suggested we have a girl in the club scene in the video - I almost refused - I didn't want to even LOOK like I was straight in the video!  So you see me walk out from the club by myself...story of my life..."
When Y-Love released his first mixtape in 2005, the world took note of the first African-American Orthodox hip-hop artist, and the mixtape went on to win "Best Hip-Hop" at the 2006 Jewish Music Awards. Called a "crossover success" by the Jerusalem Post for branching out from the ultra-Orthodox Hasidic community to which he converted in 2000, Y-Love made waves in 2012 when he became the first hip-hop artist to come out of the closet as gay before an album release.
